This blanket chest has old red paint, one flush drawer, raised moldings, iron cotter pin hinges and boot jack feet. The lid has two battens secured with rose head nails. Secondary wood: poplar. |

The case escutcheon is original. The hinges and drawer brasses are restored. The backboard is pieced at the hinges. The lid is cracked at one side. One foot has a loss. Surface wear is consistent with age. |
