Scroll-top spice box with very unusual carved shell in the frieze, serpentine drawers, inlay, scalloped apron and French feet. Attributed to Isaac Thomas, Chester County, PA. Secondary woods are sycamore, poplar, walnut and basswood.
Condition:
Tips of the scrolls and rosettes, and the finials are restored. The brass pulls and feet are original. There is a 1/2" to 3/4" repair at the tips of the spurs on the front skirt.
