Early Maple Five Slat Ladderback Chair
Description:
This chair features beautiful ball and ring front stretcher and ball feet. An excellent example of an early ladderback with rush seat and turned front legs.
Condition:
There are two small quarter inch nicks on the bottom of the center stretcher ring and the right-hand ball turnings.
Origin: Delaware Valley.
Date: c. 1780.

Came from the Clothier estate (of Strawbridge & Clothier).
