Pine Painted Blanket Chest
Description:
Black sponge-paint upon a red painted background create a pleasing contrast in this smaller blanket chest. A painted top with it's surface intact is outlined by a black painted molded lid. Sponge paint with little surface loss decorates the case over a black molded base and red sponge-painted ogee feet with spurs. An original brass escutcheon is placed in the center of the case.
