Rare Mahogany Hepplewhite Tall Case Clock
Description:
A wonderfully inlaid tall case clock with a scroll top and turned finials, an inlaid Baltimore oriole flanked by vines and leaves. There is a painted dial with eight-day movement. The waist door has cantered inlaid corners with an inlaid door and eagle. There is continued inlay in the base with original French feet.
Materials and Techniques:
Walnut with sulfur inlay and painted dial clockworks.

Origin: Pennsylvania or Maryland.
