Very Unusual Pine Painted Blanket Chest
Description:
This blanket chest has an old varnish finish with fluted corners, a mid molding over three chip carved drawers, iron strap hinges, base molding over unusual short cabriole legs terminating in claw and ball feet in front and turned ball feet in the back.
Materials and Techniques:
Painted pine.
Condition:
A very desirable rough surface throughout.
Origin: Possibly Southern.
