Walnut Step-Back Dutch Cupboard
Description:
A diminutive dutch cupboard with a nice cornice over duel glass 6-paned doors flanked by rat-tail hinges over two candle-drawers. The top steps back over a diminutive base with molded shelf over three drawers over two panel doors with original wooden pulls. The cupboard sits on bracket feet with spurs.
Materials and Techniques:
Walnut with poplar secondary wood.
Condition:
With the exception of the base molding and feet, all moldings and the cornice are original in addition to the glass and escutcheon. The wooden knobs are replaced. There is a patch on the bottom left corner of the left drawer and right drawer (3' x 1"). The left bottom door has a small warp.
