  • Few artists will leave an impression on you like Michael.  He comes from a place of passion and integrity.  His beautifully executed paintings continually aspire.  He tackles light, composition and mood in each subject.  You could say that Michael leaves everything he has on every canvas.  Technically Michael is exceptional, but his ability to capture the mood and substance of his subjects makes his work powerful.

Classically trained at some of the finest academies in the country, there are few genres Michael can't do.  His portraits are rich in texture and composition.  His still-lifes are classically elegant.  His landscapes, derived from plein air executions are beautiful and painterly.

Many patrons over the years have commissioned Michael for good reason.   His portraits define the essence of his subjects while creating a painting worthy of anyone's wall.  If you are considering having a portrait made, please call or email us to get more information.

HL CHALFANT is proud to represent an accomplished artist like Michael and has shown his work at the USARTISTS show in Philadelphia, our gallery in West Chester and online at hlchalfant.com.
